Alumni usually represent a vast untapped resource in most school communities.
From the Alumni’s point of view they have to balance the need to reconnect with old friends with the burden of being “milked” for donations. That need to reconnect is now largely being met by the use of Social Networking sites such as Facebook. Your challenge is to attract Alumni into your School Community and get them to stay there.
With Extreme School Site we have come up with an Alumni system that actually gives them a reason to go to your site. There’s something in it for them. Among the things Alumni can do are:
- Develop a Profile page that describes their current situation,
- Share their memories of their time spent at your school.
- Tell their friends what they’ve been up to recently.
- Share photos of both their current status and “the old times”
All of this is subject to approval of an administrator selected by the Principal of the school

An optional feature of the Alumni portion of Extreme School Site is a Skills Bank and a Jobs Bank. With the Skills Bank Alumni can upload their business card and a brief description of what they do for a living. So those who are in business or have a special skill can let the entire school community know they are available.
With the Jobs Bank, Alumni can post if they have a position available or if they are looking for a position. All for free! This gives them a reason to keep coming back.
For those Alumni who would like to see something more than a business card and a message, custom websites are available for a nominal cost, of which your school shares in the profits!
So this part of the website ACTUALLY MAKES YOU MONEY!!
Oh, and while they are coming back you can still ask for their support, only now it won’t be the only thing they see.
